Social Media Intern

Summary

The Social Media Intern will play a crucial role in developing, building, and monitoring our social media presence. The primary focus will be on creating and executing a comprehensive social media and email focused marketing plan for the summer gathering relevant content. This person will be motivated, creative, and ready to take on the exciting challenge of developing this new position. Your innovative ideas and creativity will help us engage and grow our online community.

Expected Hours of Work

Days and hours of work will be scheduled but hours must be flexible. Weekend & Holiday work is required.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

General Duties
  • Create a marketing plan that promotes our unique outdoor family entertainment center to local businesses, families, and vacationers.
  • Thorough understanding of our company brand and local presence.
  • A passion for social media and a deep understanding of social media platforms.
Social Media Management
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance our presence on social media platforms, including TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.
  • Regularly update and maintain content calendars for each platform.
  • Monitor social media trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for engagement.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to track the success of social media campaigns.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and platform updates to ensure a competitive edge.
Email Campaign Development
  • Collaborate with the management team to create a comprehensive email plan for the year
  • Campaigns to reflect various park marketing needs driving sales, awareness, etc.
  • Provide reporting on top performing emails, open rates, click rates, etc.
Marketing Plan Development
  • Collaborate with the management team to create a comprehensive marketing plan for the summer season.
  • Contribute ideas and insights to shape the overall marketing strategy.
Content Creation
  • Gather relevant content, including videos and pictures, to support marketing campaigns.
  • Work with team members to ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
  • Graphic design experience is a plus, but at minimum must have ability to provide direction to graphic designer for artwork creation, flyers, digital ads, etc.
Content Editing
  • Edit and enhance videos and pictures to create engaging and shareable content.
  • Implement creative and effective storytelling techniques to captivate the audience.
  • Ensure all content adheres to quality standards and reflects the brand image.
Social Media Posting
  • Schedule and publish content on all social media platforms in accordance with the content calendar.
  • Optimize posting times and frequency based on platform analytics and audience behavior.
  • Keep a consistent posting cadence on all of our social media channels including video content such as stories.
  • Monitor engagement and respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Generate leads and sales from existing customers and prospects on the social web through postings of park promotions.
Company Requirements
  • Clean and clear drug screening
  • Clean and clear background check
  • Successfully completes a 90-day introductory period in Florida
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • High School degree required. Some college level education is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and general correspondence, both written and verbal
  • Proven record of past social media performance.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in video and image editing software/tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and content creation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools for social media performance tracking.
  • Team Oriented: Able to work towards collective goals.
  • Experience in hospitality and customer service preferred.
  • Responsible, reliable, mature, team player, sociable, energetic, and friendly.
